Quality/Standards
Advanced Ambulatory Surgery Center provides efficient, high quality surgical services in a professional, friendly environment. We are an Orthopedic and Pain Management Ambulatory Surgery Center developed under the strict guidelines required for Medicare certification and with an ongoing Quality Assurance Program. Standards of Care and Practice from several professional organizations (Association of Operating Room Nurses, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare and the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Hospital Organization) have been used to assist us in the creation of a process to separate the surgical inpatient from the outpatient. These standards of care provide the framework for professional health care workers to practice clinically and administratively, and to provide safe and consistent care to the patient.
Our Staff
Only professional, qualified administrative, nursing and support personnel staff the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Our Staff is trained in all aspects of surgical care for little children (at least five years of age) to senior citizens. The surgical staff is comprised of physicians from Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Loma Linda University Medical Center, Riverside County Regional Medical Center, Redlands Community Hospital and St Bernardine’s Medical Center. From pre-operative to post-recovery care, patients are cared for by Registered Nurses. Advanced Ambulatory Surgery Center provides personalized care as reflected in the ratio of one nurse to two patients, the same as an intensive care unit (ICU) in a hospital. Our nursing personnel are experienced and caring healthcare professionals who are available to assist you and your family through the surgical process. The entire staff at Advanced Ambulatory Surgery Center will make every effort to ensure that your surgical experience is a successful and pleasant one.
Our Physicians
Our physicians come from both Loma Linda University's academic departments as well as from the surrounding community hospitals. Every surgeon must go through a credentialing system. All medical staff appointments are recommended for approval by the Medical Director and submitted to the governing body for final approval.
Procedures
Advanced Ambulatory Surgery Center - newly built in 2004 – is complete with three operating rooms and the latest equipment and monitors. We have the capability of performing almost any orthopedic procedure that is suitable for outpatient surgery. The staff is trained in all aspects of surgical care for everyone - from young children to senior citizens.
There are no limits on the duration of the surgery or complexity of the surgery performed at the Center, provided that the intention is for the patient to go home the same day as the surgery. The Center actively services qualified surgeons in the specialties of orthopedic surgery and pain management.
Hours of service
Our regular hours of service are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. The center is closed for major holidays to allow our staff to enjoy this time with their families. After-hours and emergency patient care is provided through telephone triage and on-call physician staffing.
